mac os 10.4 "tiger"

Okay, Apple's Mac OS X v10.4, codename "Tiger" looks pretty cool. I never had any intention of upgrading to Panther. After spending the $130 to upgrade to Jaguar, it just didn't seem like the upgrades were "big" enough. But with the new Airport Express coming out, it changes the climate for me. And of course, you need Panther or newer to utilize the "AirTunes" feature, which is the main selling point for me

I started to drool as I was looking at the new "Dashboard" feature. The widgets look really cool, very sleek. And did ya notice that on the appointments list it says "1:45pm - Lunch with Winona"? Funny.

Also, the iChat AV upgraded functioning looks pretty awesome. While I've never video-conferenced myself, the idea of doing it with such a cool looking 3D interface makes me wanna get more friends who are tech-savvy. (Sigh.) More friends, that would be good.

Anyways, I imagine myself spending more than a few bucks on Apple products in the next 8 months. I, of course, need to aquire a new iPod (preferably a blue or green iPod mini) to hook into my new MINI Cooper (via the "iPod your BMW" connector available later this year), and the new Airport Express, and the new operating system. Gosh, I hope that I will be able to upgrade to Tiger on my 800 MHz G3 iBook!!??!!
